3 Podcasts to Listen to For Personal Growth
Podcasts for personal growth can be overwhelming, finding one suited to your goals and perspective may help you find one you enjoy.
A big part of personal growth is accepting where and who you are, while looking for options to improve your life. Finding a good podcast that pairs well with your current goals can be like having a chat with a friend.
Finding creators who understand your challenges is amazing because as you grow and change, it can be challenging to balance finding direction, going after what you want and accepting and appreciating where you are now.
What you listen to and surround yourself with (audio, television, music) has a big impact on your mood, thought patterns and where you choose to focus your energy.
I’m going to share 3 personal growth podcasts I go-to for this:
The Balanced Black Girl by Les Alfred
Listening to Les feels like listening to a friend that gets how your feeling and knows what to say. She created an online space that feels welcoming and accepting, I always look forward to her content.
The Balanced Black Girl podcast amplifies the voices of POC, and covering a wide range of topics anyone on their self development and wellness journey wants to hear.
Her guests are knowledgable in their own fields/ areas of expertise and offer tools and tips appropriate to the subject while understanding the challenges People of Colour face on a day-to-day basis.
Finding this podcast and Les’ online space was like a breath of fresh air.

On Purpose by Jay Shetty
On Purpose has been a show I’ve followed for years. Jay encourages his guests to express themselves, their challenges and how they’ve overcome them for inspiration to others who can relate to their stories.
He often does podcast episodes on his own with life-coaching type tools and tips to give value, sharing his understanding, studies and learnings in a way that’s easy to take in.
Jay interviews everyone from business owners, to motivational speakers, to celebrities and creates a space for people to share their stories.

The Dream Bigger Podcast by Siff Haider
Everytime I tune into the Dream Bigger Podcast, I take away a lot of inspiration and have something new on my to-do list (in the best way). Siff is the founder of the wellness-supplement brand Arrae, and hosts everyone from founders of businesses, to wellness creators and/or experts.
I love the name of the Dream Bigger Podcast because it embodies what I believe self development is about. Whether dreaming bigger means creating a simple life for yourself that feels fulfilling, or if it means creating a massive business, or accomplishing something completely different - this podcast always has relevant take aways.

Questions for you
What do you want to learn about right now?
Who do you want to hear from (expertise, community, etc.)?
Now, go find them!
